1. Customizing elementool Bug Forms You can customize the elementool Bug Forms according to your special needs. The Bug Forms are the New Bug form that enables you to submit new bugs, the View Bug form that enables you to view and edit the bug's details and the Bug Report Menu that enables you to generate different reports. The fields that can be customized in these forms are: Product field This field is used for listing all your company's products. This field, once edited, is displayed on the Bug Forms. To edit this field, click the 'Edit bug form' option on the control panel on the top of the screen. A list of all editable fields will be displayed. Click on the 'Customize' button on the right side of the Product field. Two buttons will be displayed on the right side of the screen once the Configure button is clicked: 'Add values' and 'Delete values'. Adding values - Click the 'Add values' button and a list of six fields will be displayed. Use this list to add values to the Product field. The first field (called 'Field name') is for changing the Product field's name. If you like to call the Product field with a different name, type the desired name in this place. The next five fields are for adding new values to the Product list. Type in the values you would like to add and when finished, click the 'Add values' button. The values entered in the six fields will be added to the Product value list and the Product field's name will be changed. You can add more values to the Product list by repeating this process (you can add as many values as you like. Five values each time). Deleting values - Click the 'Delete values' button. A list of all the Product field's values will be displayed. Mark the values you would like to delete and click the 'Delete' button. All the selected values will be deleted. Environment fields These fields are used for displaying all kind of value lists on the Bug Forms, according to your special needs. The Environment fields, once edited, are displayed on the Bug Forms (empty Environment fields are not displayed on the Bug Forms). To edit these fields, click the 'Edit bug form' option on the control panel on the top of the screed. A list of all editable fields will be displayed. Click on the 'Customize' button on the right side of the Environment field you wish to edit. Two buttons are displayed on the right side of the screen once the Configure button is clicked: 'Add values' and 'Delete values' . Adding values - Click the 'Add values' button and a list of six fields will be displayed. Use this list to add values to the Environment field. 2. Editing Account Users List
The account user list is used for configuring the users that are allowed to use the elementool account. You can add new users to the list, delete users from the list or update users' details on the list. The user list is displayed on the Bug Form in different places ('Assigned to' list, 'Reported by' list and 'Fixed by' list). Adding new users - Click the 'Edit user profiles' option on the control panel on the top of the screen. The user list will be displayed. Enter the new user's details in the table that is placed above the user list. Type the user's name, the user's e-mail address and select the group the new user belongs to (each group has its own permission policy according to the Permission Index). Click the 'Add user' button and the new user will be added to the user list (the new user will be displayed on the user list). Deleting users - Click the 'Edit user profiles' option on the control panel on the top of the screen. The user list will be displayed. On the user list, click the 'Delete' button on the right side of the user's details you wish to delete. The user will be deleted and the user list display will be updated with the changes. Updating users' details - Click the 'Edit user profiles' option on the control panel on the top of the screen. The user list will be displayed. On the user list, update the user's details and click the 'Update' button on the right side of the user's details you wish to update. The user's details will be updated with the new values and the user list display will be updated with the changes. Remember that you can update one user each time.By clicking on the user list table's headers (Username or Group) the table display will be sorted by Username or Group name. |
3. Editing Passwords
Editing passwords - Click the 'Edit passwords' option on the control panel on the top of the screen. The password list will be displayed. Enter new passwords in the blank password fields of the groups' password you wish to change (password fields that will remain blank will not be changed). Click the 'Update' button and the groups' password will be changed. If you change the Admin password, you will be asked to login again to your elementool account with the new password. When your elementool account is created, all groups are assigned with the Admin password as default. Allow Guest to submit new bugs - Check this option to allow Guest group members to submit new bugs. If this option will be unchecked, the Guest group members will not be allowed to enter new bugs. Click the Update button to update this option. |
